Things to do whilst you're here
Adventures from the Chalet doorstep
There are countless adventures waiting right from the Chalet doorstep. Hushinish beach, with it's breathtaking views, has been featured in many vlogs and news articles. Keep and eye out for seals, otters and eagles - both sea and golden. Pack a picnic or bbq with you to enjoy at one of the beautiful coves, or just relax on the soft white sands.
Exploring the outdoors
For those who love to explore, there are endless hikes for every level beginning right from the Chalet door. You can set off in any direction and walk for as little or as long as you wish. One of the most beautiful trails leads you to the pristine, remote beach Traigh Mheilein. For the more adventurous, Clisham - the highest peak in the Western Isles at 799m (a Corbett). Cycling along the single-track road is a popular way to take in the scenery, while kayaking, (sea or loch) gives a fresh perspective of the Island. Hushinish is also on the official snorkeling trail. Harris also boasts it's own nine hole golf course.
Skies beyond imagination
As the seasons turns and the nights grow longer, the skies above the Chalet become a spectacle of their own. With zero light pollution, and on a clear night, the stars and the milky way shine brilliantly. Some very lucky guests also experience the Northern Lights.
Evenings to remember
After a day of adventure, there's nothing quite like an evening stroll along the beach and watch one of the endless sky sunsets or just relax and sit on the rocks with a wee dram of whisky and the Ocean at your feet.
