Terms & conditions
-
Please read the following terms & conditions before making a booking:

-
DEPOSIT. £100 deposit payable by bank transfer or cheque on receipt of confirmation email. Balance payable in full 6 weeks prior to arrival date. Provisional bookings held for 14 days pending receipt of deposit.

-
Maximum number of persons allowed is 3.

-
CANCELLATION BY GUEST.
-
If anyone is unable to take up their booking, cancellations should be notified as soon as possible and confirmed in writing via email. Any payments made will be refunded in full if we are able to re-let the chalet for the same dates. If we are unable to re-let, the following charges will apply:
-
For cancellations made more than 6 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit will be forfeited.
-
For cancellations made less than 6 weeks prior to arrival, the full amount is payable (both the deposit and balance).
-
To minimise the cost and inconvenience of cancellations, I strongly recommend taking out holiday insurance. Please note that no responsibility can be taken for the cancellation of ferries or flights due to adverse weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

-
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE. Earliest arrival time is 4 pm on the day of arrival and the chalet must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure

-
DAMAGES. The chalet should be left clean and tidy on departure, and any damages must be reported prior to departure. If the chalet is left in a dirty or inappropriate manner, this may result in an additional cleaning surcharge. All damages and losses must be reported and will be charged in full.

-
SMOKING is strictly off limits inside the chalet.

-
TRAVEL INSURANCE. I cannot advise strongly enough that the guest takes out a comprehensive travel insurance policy at the time of booking the chalet. This gives the guest peace of mind that they will be able to recover their costs and losses should there be a need to cancel due to illness, adverse weather, ferry cancellations, or any other unforseen circumstances. If the guest chooses not to have adequate travel insurance in place, then the guest accepts full responsibility for any costs or loss that may be incurred due to a cancellation.

-
DOGS. Dogs must be kept on a lead around the local livestock. Dogs should not be left alone in the chalet unless crated or by arrangement with the owner. I am more than happy to look after dogs. This is because of prior damage and problems. No puppies that are not house trained please.

-
ELECTRIC VEHICLES. Please note that charging electric vehicles or e-bikes is strictly prohibited at the chalet due to fire risk.

-
CANCELLATION BY HOST. Bookings are made in good faith with the expectation that Creagach Chalet will be available on the agreed date. However, in circumstances beyond our control, such as a flood or fire, we cannot guarantee the provision of alternative accommodation. In such cases, the deposit and balance will be fully reimbursed, and the client will have no further claims against the proprietor.
